Synopsis: Dying's easy. Lying's hard.
Cam never wanted to come to Oxford. He's only here because he followed Ed, the man he loves, but Ed's more interested in his experiments than he is in Cam.
It looks like it's going to be a boring few years, until Cam stumbles into a crime scene and unwittingly becomes a key witness. He faces a choice: continue being bored, or go undercover to help the Seekers to track down the culprit.
If only he knew how to tell a lie.

In Blood Work we get a sneek peek into Cam and Ed's life when they first arrive to Oxford. Ed is going to study at the university and (my dear) Cam (already known from the Sovereign and Seekers series) is lost without a purpose.
Cam is that amazing, selfless and wise character that we wished he could be real to be our best friend. There is only one problem with Cam: he spends his life trying to help others and it seems that he never thinks of himself.
That's why I felt sad for him in this short story, because he is always a puppy behind Ed. I would like him to be a little more selfish for his sake, because he is so cute and deserves the best in his life!
However, despite feeling sad for him, I loved that in this short story he discovers his purpose, that will lead him on the path that those who have read the other books know. ;)
I loved Blood Work and, being Cam one of my favorite characters from Josie's Silverse, I loved reading more about him (and I can't wait to read more about him in the rest of the Seekers books and Solis Invicti).
Note so you can understand the order of the Silverse series that I'm talking about: Seekers> Solis Invicti> Sovereign and, although I have the first two books in the Solis Invicti serie, I haven't read them yet (but I think Cam also appears in those).
Thank you @josiejaffrey for sending me this book (that will be published next year on on August 4th) in exchange for an honest review.
